Something that is not human wears the shape of a woman. It finds a man who lives alone, cut off from others. The creature approaches him as a potential lover. He welcomes this new relationship, desperate for connection. But the false body begins to decay. The skin starts to peel. The smell grows worse each day. The man notices these changes. His attraction fades as the disguise fails. The creature struggles to maintain its human appearance. Both the physical form and the man's desire deteriorate together. What began as companionship becomes something else entirely. The story explores how loneliness makes people vulnerable to deception and how attraction depends on surfaces that cannot last.
