NOT TILL THE RED FOG RISES.

First published 1994

Gust walks free after ten years behind bars for armed robbery. The parole papers are fresh, but his pockets are empty. When someone offers him a piece of easy money through what looks like a simple con job, Gust takes the bait. The streets of Soho seem familiar enough, filled with the same hustlers and bottom feeders he knew before his stretch inside. But this job isn't what it appeared to be. The deeper Gust gets pulled in, the more he realizes he's swimming in waters too deep for an ex-con trying to go straight. The seedy underworld of London's red light district offers no safe harbor. Every face could belong to a friend or an enemy. Every deal might be his last. Gust finds himself caught between his desperate need for cash and his growing certainty that he's been marked for something far worse than another trip back to prison.
