Daniel Reid, a curator at London's Modern Art Museum, discovers a series of antique mirrors with impossible properties. Each reflection shows not what stands before them, but alternate versions of reality—scenes that never happened, people who don't exist. When one mirror begins to reveal increasingly precise images of Reid's own suppressed memories, he becomes trapped in a dangerous investigation of perception and truth. As the boundaries between reflection and reality blur, Reid must understand the mirrors' origin before they completely rewrite his understanding of consciousness. Someone—or something—wants these mirrors to remain hidden, and they're willing to eliminate anyone who gets too close to understanding their true nature.
