Bea Schumacher runs a popular plus-size fashion blog and religiously watches the hit reality show Buen partido every week. Fed up with the show's complete lack of diversity and nursing a broken heart, she goes on a drunken livestream rant criticizing the program. The video goes viral overnight. Then the producers call with an unexpected offer: they want Bea to become the next star of Buen partido. She never planned on televised dates or public marriage proposals, but Bea decides to accept the role. She sees it as a chance to challenge narrow beauty standards and maybe score some free travel along the way. Once filming begins, her simple plan becomes anything but straightforward. Internet trolls launch attacks against her. Attractive suitors complicate her emotions. Real feelings start developing when she least expects them. Bea must navigate the artificial world of reality television while staying true to herself and her mission to represent women who rarely see themselves on screen.
