Alex thought his friendship with Darren belonged to the past. They were close as children, but people change. Darren changed more than most. Now Darren has crossed a line that terrifies Alex. Darren has started killing people, and he wants Alex to join him. This is not a request Alex can simply decline. Darren will not accept refusal. He remembers their bond from years ago and believes Alex belongs at his side for what comes next. Alex faces an impossible choice between his own survival and becoming part of something monstrous. Darren grows more unstable with each rejection, and Alex realizes his former friend will use any method necessary to secure his cooperation.
