Peter Knight arrives at a murder scene just hours before the 2012 London Olympics opening ceremony. A high-ranking member of the organizing committee lies dead, killed with surgical precision. Knight works for Private, the investigation firm contracted to secure the games and protect over 10,000 athletes from more than 200 countries. The murder appears calculated rather than passionate. Reporter Karen Pope receives a letter from someone called Cronus who claims responsibility for the killing. Cronus promises to restore the Olympics to ancient glory by eliminating those who corrupt the games through lies and greed. Pope hires Private to analyze the letter, partnering with Knight to track the killer. They discover a criminal mastermind determined to destroy the modern Olympic Games completely. Knight must balance his investigation with his role as a single father to twins while racing against time to stop Cronus before the games are ruined.
