Jake rides the rodeo circuit across small western towns, chasing prize money and trying to prove himself as a bull rider. His father wants him to quit the dangerous sport and settle down on the family ranch. His girlfriend Sarah grows tired of his constant traveling and the risks he takes every weekend. Jake must choose between the adrenaline rush of eight seconds on a bucking bull and the stability his family offers. Each rodeo brings new injuries and setbacks, but also the possibility of finally making it to the national finals. As the season progresses, Jake discovers what matters most when everything he values stands at risk.
