Rush Revere works as a substitute history teacher with an unusual secret. He owns a talking horse named Liberty who can open portals through time. Rush got his nickname from his admiration of Paul Revere, the colonial messenger who warned Americans about approaching British forces. When Rush decides to bring history alive for students, he and Liberty transport them back to 1620 to join families aboard the Mayflower. The group faces the same dangerous ocean crossing that tested the original pilgrims. They experience the harsh conditions firsthand and ask questions about daily life during this challenging voyage.
