Secret Obsession

by Kimberla Lawson Roby

First published 2011

Paige Donahue watches her sister Camille enjoy everything she never had. While Camille earned top grades and parental approval as a child, Paige received leftover clothes and constant criticism. The sisters' adult lives mirror this divide. Camille lives comfortably with her husband Pierce and two children in their spacious home. Paige struggles to pay bills in her cramped condo. Resentment festers until Paige decides she deserves what Camille has. She begins planting doubts about their marriage in both Camille's and Pierce's minds. Her calculated manipulation starts working as cracks appear in their relationship. Pierce wavers, torn between his wife and her seductive sister. Just when Paige believes victory is within reach, Pierce chooses to repair his marriage instead of abandoning it. His rejection pushes Paige past jealousy into something far more dangerous. Her envy transforms into obsession, then madness. The desperate woman who once wanted her sister's life now threatens to destroy it completely.
