A violent storm shipwrecks a sorcerer named Prospero and his young daughter Miranda on a magical island. Prospero, once the rightful Duke of Milan, now wields unseen powers to manipulate the island's spirits and control the weather. He schemes to right past wrongs and restore his family's fortunes. As Prospero enacts his plan, a shipwrecked crew of nobility stumble onto the island, awakening the mischievous sprite Ariel and the deformed monster Caliban. Prospero's machinations test the loyalties and morals of all who set foot on the enchanted shore.
