Police officer Micayla Lange is housesitting her uncle Nicco's McMansion on New Year's Eve when she hears sounds from his private office. Armed with her Glock 22, she discovers professional thief Jason Davis breaking into Nicco's safe. Jason has stolen incriminating photographs that implicate Nicco Marino in a city councilman's murder. The security cameras capture Jason's face, and Micayla sees the damning evidence. She realizes her beloved uncle is a gangster who will kill her to protect his secrets. Micayla faces an impossible choice between her duty as a cop and her survival. She decides to help Jason escape with his suitcase of stolen cash and flees with him. Their desperate flight takes them through Michigan's frozen wilderness by speedboat and snowmobile while dangerous enemies pursue them. Micayla struggles between her loyalty to the police force and her growing attraction to Jason. Their partnership ignites unexpected passion as they fight to stay alive. Micayla knows she must eventually arrest Jason, but first they have to survive their hunters. The question becomes whether their connection can overcome the forces trying to destroy them.
