Private investigator Jack Barclay takes on what seems like a straightforward case. Financier Tom Stanton has vanished with one million pounds of client money, abandoning his wife and children in London. The trail leads Jack to Paris, where Stanton's mistress Danielle has connections to a drug smuggling operation.
