First published 2004

Sock Monkey faces a crisis. The Big Celebrity Dance approaches in just a few days, but he has no partner. All his friends have left town, and a famous toy actor cannot attend such an event alone. Sock Monkey refuses to accept defeat. He will not stay home singing the blues while everyone else celebrates. Instead, he devises an inventive plan and shares some of his professional secrets along the way. His solution involves a polyester suit, impressive dance moves, and a new argyle companion who might prove to be exactly what he needs. This argyle buddy could become the ideal dancing partner Sock Monkey seeks. The story follows his creative problem solving as he prepares for the big night, determined to boogie-woogie his way to success.
