Aly and Brooke Tanner decide to create their own nail salon inside their mother's existing business. The Sparkle Spa serves only kids, giving the sisters complete control over their venture. Their first challenge comes when they volunteer to beautify dogs at the local shelter's adoption event. Dogs prove difficult customers for manicures and pedicures. The sisters then face real competition when a flashy rival salon opens across the street just as they prepare to handle manicures for the school's Fall Ball dance. Their biggest test arrives when Brooke breaks her arm and cannot work. Aly must find a replacement helper, but she worries the new person might outshine Brooke's skills. Through each obstacle, the Tanner sisters learn what it takes to run a business while maintaining their family bond.
