Cecilia Ross quits her job as a motivational speaker and sells her house. She needs a change. She moves into an old house in St. Paul, Minnesota, with a front porch, wild garden, and chef's kitchen. Three other women live there too. They come from different generations but all feel restless. They want something more from life. The four women decide to take a road trip together. Each has someone or something to find. One woman gave up a daughter at birth and wants to reconnect with her. Another plans to visit her ex-husband who has been gone for years. The third woman works as a professional chef and hopes to discover new ideas at restaurants during their journey. Cecilia searches for Dennis Halsinger, a man she never forgot. He recently sent her a postcard after years of silence. The trip becomes a journey into their pasts and toward their futures. The women support each other as they face old wounds and new possibilities. Their friendship grows stronger as they help each other find what they have lost.
