First published 2003

Soren tumbles from his nest when his older brother shoves him out. The young barn owl crashes to the forest floor, helpless and facing death. Agents from St. Aggie's arrive to rescue him. They claim their institution serves as a school for orphaned owls. Soren arrives at the mysterious academy and meets Gylfie, a sharp and resourceful owl who becomes his ally. Together they explore their new surroundings and question what they observe. The school's true purpose gradually reveals itself. St. Aggie's operates as something far more sinister than an educational institution. The leader harbors dangerous ambitions that require specially trained owls. Soren and Gylfie must navigate this threatening environment while uncovering the full scope of the conspiracy. Their friendship becomes crucial as they face the reality of their situation and the evil intentions of those who control their fate.
