The Drift

First published 2023

A bus carrying students crashes and overturns in a fierce snowstorm. The survivors find themselves trapped inside the wreckage as wind and snow batter the metal shell around them. Meanwhile, friends gathered at an isolated mountain chalet watch their bonds fracture under pressure. A third group sits stranded in a cable car suspended above the storm. Each location becomes a prison where trust crumbles and paranoia spreads. Someone in each group has blood on their hands. The students, friends, and strangers all face the same questions as the hours drag on. Why hasn't help arrived? What drove them to seek shelter in these remote places? The mysterious figures they call Whistlers move through the storm outside, adding another layer of terror to their ordeal. Survival depends on identifying the killers before they strike again, but the real horror may be learning what they were all running from in the first place.
