First published 2015

Jeremy Logan receives an urgent call from Lux, a prestigious think tank on the Rhode Island coast. A distinguished doctor has violently attacked his assistant before killing himself, leaving behind bizarre evidence from his final research project. Other scientists at Lux have begun displaying troubling behavior, and the director fears something sinister threatens the entire facility. Logan, an enigmalogist who specializes in strange and seemingly supernatural problems, arrives to investigate. He discovers a secret room hidden within a dormant wing of the estate, untouched for decades. The room contains mysterious machinery and references to an abandoned experiment called Project S. As Logan works to decode what happened in that sealed chamber, he begins to understand why the terrifying project was suddenly terminated years ago. His investigation triggers a chain of catastrophic events that endanger both Lux and Logan himself.
