The Giant's Giant

by Mark Cheverton

First published 2020

Brianna MineShaker stands smaller than the other giants at Harmony School, a place where misfits and unwanted students end up after exile. Her size makes her a constant target for bullying. Nuclear war destroyed civilization and split survivors into four factions: Giants, tree-dwelling Dryads, remnant humans, and radioactive scavengers. The groups fight each other in this devastated world. At school, Brianna witnesses something terrible. Other giants are being taken over by an unknown force that controls their bodies. She faces a choice that could cost her life. She must travel into the Wastelands, a deadly place where no one returns alive, to discover what threatens her people. Three unlikely companions join her dangerous mission. If they fail, Brianna will never see her family again and cannot save them from the spreading threat. The journey tests her courage and forces her to prove that being different can be a strength.
