The Hunted

by Matt Jones

First published 2015

Ella trusted her friends when they said the countryside would offer safety from the sickness that turns everyone sixteen and older into flesh-hungry monsters. Her friends are dead now. She wanders the rural landscape with only a mysterious rescuer called Scarface, unsure whether he's a child or an infected adult. Meanwhile in London, Ed fights through streets packed with sickos to keep his promise to Small Sam. He swore he would find Ella and bring the siblings back together. The mission grows deadlier as infected swarm toward the capital from every direction, as if something calls them to London. Ed must escape the city while Ella struggles to stay alive in a countryside that proves just as dangerous as the urban wasteland they fled.
