Michael Glynn lives for excess as a successful director. His brother Daniel teaches literature and treasures his quiet family life. The brothers share blood but little else after years of lies and buried secrets. Armed strangers claiming government authority visit each brother separately. They demand to know where the other brother is. They want something called "the code" and believe one of the Glynn brothers has it. The agents give both men the same ultimatum: locate your brother or die. Michael and Daniel begin tracking each other across the country. Their search leads them somewhere impossible. They discover a world without famine, sickness, or death. This place offers perfect happiness and the chance to correct past mistakes. Both brothers must decide if a second chance is what they truly need. The answer lies in solving the mystery of the impossible bird.
