Part of The Last Kids on Earth, book 4

First published 2018

Jack and his friends are enjoying their first winter since the Monster Apocalypse ended. They build sled catapults and wage epic snowball fights while planning a monstrous Christmas party. Their fun gets interrupted when a dangerous woman starts hunting them down. This enemy is different from the monsters they usually face because she's human. The villainess manages to steal Jack's most important weapon, the Louisville Slicer, which he uses to fight monsters. Jack promises to get his prized tool back no matter what it takes. He and his buddies soon learn that losing the Louisville Slicer means more than losing a weapon. The villainess plans to use it for something terrible that could destroy not just their world but everything beyond it. Jack must recover his monster-slaying tool before her dark scheme succeeds.
