The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

Lucy Pevensie steps through the back of an old wardrobe and finds herself in a snowy forest where a faun carries parcels and an umbrella. Her brothers Peter and Edmund and sister Susan soon follow her into Narnia, a land trapped in endless winter by the White Witch's curse. The children learn that Narnia has known no Christmas for a hundred years under the Witch's rule. Edmund betrays his siblings to the White Witch for enchanted Turkish Delight, but the other children join the talking animals and mythical creatures fighting against her tyranny. When Aslan the Great Lion returns to Narnia, hope stirs among the oppressed creatures. The children must choose between safety and courage as an ancient prophecy about four human rulers threatens the White Witch's power. Aslan's ultimate sacrifice and the final battle will determine whether Narnia remains frozen in perpetual winter or awakens to spring.
