The Zombies celebrate half a century since recording their influential album Odessey and Oracle. Band members Rod Argent, Colin Blunstone, Chris White and Hugh Grundy share personal memories through oral history. The book combines rare photographs with unseen artwork and handwritten lyrics for 22 songs. It traces the band's journey from early hits like "She's Not There" and "Tell Her No" through every track on their acclaimed album, including "Time of the Season," up to the present day. Terry Quirk, who designed the original album's visual identity, created the book's cover and contributed new artwork. Vivienne Boucherat produced unique art pieces for each of the 22 songs. Music journalists, friends and fans contribute reflections throughout. Tom Petty wrote the foreword and joins contributors including Brian Wilson, Carlos Santana, Susanna Hoffs, Paul Weller, Graham Nash, Clive Davis, Nate Ruess of FUN and members of Cage the Elephant and Beach House. The book offers readers an intimate look at one of the UK's influential 1960s bands through this collection of memories, visuals and musical history.
