Ava shows up at a hockey game looking for one night away from a life that doesn't feel like hers. She finds it with Walker Davis, the goalie every girl in the arena wants, a guy so charming his teammates call him Disney. He seems to get it. One perfect night, no strings. Except Walker doesn't do strings the normal way. He starts showing up wherever she goes. He knows things about her he shouldn't. He talks about changing her last name like it's already decided. Ava is already a pariah in her own world, already running from something, and now this man who looks like a fairy tale is acting like she belongs to him. The problem is part of her wants to believe him. Walker Davis is not a safe person to want. He is obsessive, single-minded, and entirely convinced that Ava is the one. She keeps telling herself a wrong date can't become a happily ever after. Walker is busy proving her wrong by any means necessary. This is a darker hockey romance with a morally grey hero who does not take no for an answer.
