Jabez Wilson enjoyed an unusual but lucrative position. The Red-Headed League paid him four pounds weekly for simple clerical work. The job required only that applicants be red-headed men over twenty-one in good health. Wilson performed minor tasks and collected his generous wages without question. Then the League dissolved without warning. Wilson arrived at work one morning to find the office empty and his employment terminated. Confused and concerned about his lost income, he brings his strange case to Sherlock Holmes. Holmes begins what appears to be a routine investigation into a peculiar but harmless organization. As he digs deeper, the detective uncovers something far more sinister than a simple employment scheme. The case leads Holmes and Watson into a midnight stakeout as they race to prevent a serious crime. Wilson's odd job was merely the setup for an elaborate criminal plot that threatens more than just his livelihood.
