Laura Baxter stares at the bills piling up on her kitchen table at Wraggbottom farm. She and her husband Gabe pour their hearts into this land surrounded by picturesque villages, but love alone won't keep them afloat. Laura hatches a plan to share their muddy but joyful country existence with the world through a reality television show. The cameras could bring in the money they desperately need. Then the new vicar arrives. Call-me-Bill launches a crusade against the show, splitting the community down the middle. Neighbors turn against neighbors. Even worse, Gabe starts enjoying his newfound celebrity, leaving Laura caught between the bright lights and the simple life they once shared. As her marriage strains and her village fractures, Laura must decide whether her television gambit will rescue everything she holds dear or destroy it completely.
