The Unbelievable Oliver and the Sawed-In-Half Dads

by Pseudonymous Bosch

First published 2020

Oliver stands before the wedding rehearsal brunch, ready to perform his second ever magic act. He plans to saw the two grooms in half as part of the classic trick, thinking it will amuse everyone at Teenie and Bea's fathers' wedding celebration. Oliver barely knows what he's doing with magic. His first performance got derailed when he and the twins, plus his talking rabbit Benny, had to stop a robbery instead. Now he faces an even bigger audience for an even more important event. The sawed-in-half trick should be straightforward enough. Call up volunteers, perform the illusion, take a bow. But when Oliver begins the trick with one of the fathers, something goes terribly wrong. Instead of creating wedding day joy, Oliver makes one of the grooms disappear entirely. The celebration turns into chaos. Oliver must figure out where the missing father went and how to bring him back. His detective skills will matter more than his magic abilities if he wants to save the wedding.
