Geralt receives a summons from an old friend who needs help with a mystery concerning his daughter. The witcher arrives to investigate and discovers Dandelion is already there. The two companions suddenly find themselves transported to an unknown and perilous realm. They must conceal who they really are while facing a seemingly impossible mission. Geralt partners with a local woman to combat the dark forces that threaten the land. As he works to solve the crisis, the witcher realizes his efforts only create more problems. Evidence begins mounting against him, and he becomes the primary suspect in the very mystery he came to solve. The situation spirals beyond his control as locals turn suspicious of the stranger who promised to help them.
