Aurelie Chantelune draws her blade in a kingdom torn apart by demons. She trains as a knight, driven by memories of the monsters that destroyed her family. Her bloodline carries a sacred duty: bond with the angel Yuriel after claiming her first demon kill. This partnership could save her people. But the war takes a cruel turn. People Aurelie loves begin transforming into the very creatures she hunts. Desperate for answers, she makes an unthinkable choice. She bonds with Severin, a demon who promises to end the conflict forever. Now Aurelie fights alongside both angel and demon. They search for a cure that can reverse the transformation from human to monster. As the unlikely trio grows closer, Aurelie discovers uncomfortable truths about the war itself. Her bonds pull her in opposite directions. Yuriel represents duty and tradition. Severin offers dangerous hope. Aurelie must choose her side. She can stand with the angels as her family always has. Or she can trust a demon and risk everything she was raised to protect.
