Fenric runs E.V.I.L., a villain organization with one problem: they keep doing good deeds. When heroes steal his mother's treasures, Fenric sets out for revenge with his misfit crew. He wants to recruit Lirion, a sexy bard whose sister needs rescuing from a sex trafficking ring. The team includes an elf necromancer, a chatty barbarian, a warlock with a talking weapon, and a half-merman pirate. Their rescue missions and village saving keep dropping their villain rankings overnight. Fenric finds himself mothering this chaotic family while they sail the high seas, break up criminal operations, and somehow make incompetence look attractive. Between questionable baking attempts and sacred bathing rituals, the crew discovers that being bad feels impossible when people need help. Lirion keeps getting into trouble that requires creative solutions, and Fenric realizes keeping everyone alive matters more than climbing villain charts.
