Rose Mortiz has always been the one who holds things together. But lately she can't even hold herself together. Her father came home with no memory of his past, and her own new powers make no sense to her. Then, on the night of her Deathday party, she finds out her father's amnesia has been a lie the whole time. Before she can process that, the two of them are yanked through a portal and dropped into Adas, a fairy realm tucked away in the Caribbean Sea. Rose doesn't get to fall apart. She gets conscripted into saving Adas alongside a group of strangers, while the land around her deteriorates and her father keeps secrets she is only beginning to uncover. The more she learns about what he sacrificed to protect her sisters, the harder it gets to stay angry at him. But Rose can't fix her family from another realm. To get home, she has to heal Adas first, and she has to do it using powers she barely understands.
