Johann Eduard Hari is a British writer and journalist. He wrote for The Independent and other outlets until 2011, when he resigned following admissions of plagiarism and fabrications in his work dating back to 2001. During this period, he also made malicious edits to Wikipedia pages of journalists who had criticized his conduct. Since then, Hari has focused on writing books. His published works explore topics including depression, the war on drugs, the effects of technology on attention span, and anti-obesity medication.
