Scott Lynch is an American fantasy author recognized primarily for the Gentleman Bastard Sequence, a planned seven-book series of fantasy novels. His debut novel, The Lies of Locke Lamora, was acquired by Orion Books in August 2004 and published in June 2006, initially released in the United Kingdom under the Gollancz imprint and in the United States under Bantam. The series continued with Red Seas Under Red Skies, published in 2007, and The Republic of Thieves, which appeared in 2013.
