Shannon Hale

Shannon Hale is an American author primarily known for her young adult fantasy novels. Her work includes Princess Academy, which received a Newbery Honor, and The Goose Girl. She is a graduate of the University of Utah and the University of Montana. Hale has also written for adult audiences. Her first novel for adults, Austenland, was adapted into a film in 2013. In addition to her solo work, she has collaborated with her husband, Dean, on various writing projects.
