Princess Magnolia arrives at the Interkingdom Science Fair with her poster about seeds and plants. She feels excited but nervous about presenting her work. Her friends have brought impressive projects too. Princess Honeysuckle created a mole habitat, Princess Sneezewort constructed a blanket fort, and Tommy Wigtower built a talking volcano. The volcano keeps shouting "EAAAAT!" which seems odd for a science project. When a squishy goo monster suddenly appears and threatens the fair, Princess Magnolia must transform into her secret identity, the Princess in Black. The Princess in Blankets joins the fight to help save the day. The two masked heroes discover that stopping this particular monster requires more than their usual combat skills. They must use scientific thinking and problem-solving methods to defeat the creature and protect the science fair from destruction.
