A Copycat Conundrum

First published 2025

Olive Cobin Zang and her team of crime-fighting underdogs have just cracked the Royal Rumpus case. The awkward kids who call themselves the Misfits work for NOCK, a secret agency, and they're succeeding at every assignment. Then their classmate Zeke starts getting threatening messages. The Misfits can't figure out who would want to hurt friendly, kind Zeke. Maybe he's hiding something. At the same time, bizarre earthquakes hit only small sections of San Francisco while valuable artwork disappears from the city. NOCK sends the Misfits to investigate these strange tremors and thefts. Olive wonders if Zeke's mysterious notes connect to the attacks on their city. The case might be part of a larger plot than anything they've encountered before. The young investigators must solve both mysteries while questioning whether people are really who they appear to be.
