Applied Science Review Cards

by Abrams

Maya Chen stares at the flash cards scattered across her dorm room floor. Applied Science Review Cards promised to help her pass organic chemistry, but the formulas keep changing when she looks away. Her study partner Jake insists the cards are normal, but Maya watches molecular structures rearrange themselves into warnings. The cards seem to predict lab accidents before they happen. When a classmate dies in an explosion the cards had somehow foretold, Maya realizes these aren't ordinary study materials. She must figure out who created them and why before the next prediction comes true. The cards hold knowledge that someone killed to protect, and Maya's desperate need to pass her classes has pulled her into a conspiracy that reaches deep into her university's research programs.
