Mole abandons his spring cleaning to explore the riverbank, where he meets the water-loving Rat. Together they enter a world of picnics, boats, and woodland friends. But their peaceful life faces disruption when the reckless Toad becomes obsessed with motorcars, lands in prison, and loses his ancestral home to a gang of stoats and weasels. Mole must overcome his fears of the Wild Wood, while Rat struggles with wanderlust that threatens their friendship. Badger emerges from his underground realm to help reclaim Toad Hall in a final battle. The friends discover that home means both the places we love and the companions who share them with us.
