Beach Babe

by Jennifer L. Holm

First published 2006

Babymouse packs her sunglasses and heads to the beach for what should be the perfect summer vacation. She pictures herself surfing like a pro, snorkeling in crystal clear water, and soaking up the sun on warm sand. School is finally out and a whole week of freedom stretches ahead of her. But the ocean has other plans. Sharks patrol the waters where Babymouse hopes to catch waves and show off her surfing skills. Her dreams of becoming a beach star suddenly seem a lot more dangerous. The spunky mouse finds herself facing a choice between the vacation she imagined and the reality of sharp teeth lurking beneath the surface. This third adventure in the series puts Babymouse in her biggest challenge yet. Will she find the courage to get back in the water, or will fear keep her stuck on dry land? The summer that was supposed to be all about fun and relaxation becomes a test of what Babymouse is really made of.
