Boundary Waters

Part of Cork O'Connor

First published 2000

Country-western star Shiloh vanishes somewhere in the Quetico-Superior wilderness, two million acres of forest and rapids along the Canadian border. Her father travels to Aurora, Minnesota, and hires Cork O'Connor to track her down. Cork assembles a search party that includes an ex-convict, two FBI agents, and a ten-year-old boy. They venture into the unforgiving territory, but other men are also hunting Shiloh with orders to kill rather than rescue. Back in Aurora, dangerous strangers arrive and threaten violence on the snowy streets. Winter closes in hard on the Boundary Waters. Cork's team loses all contact with the outside world. Death stalks them through the brutal Minnesota blizzard, striking violently and without warning.
