Chandrika wants to create beaded bracelets for her brothers to celebrate the Hindu holiday of Raksha Bandhan. She decides to make them completely on her own. First, she asks each brother about their favorite and least favorite colors. Then she begins crafting the bracelets using an every-other-one beading pattern. As Chandrika works with the repeating sequence, she notices something unexpected about mathematical patterns. Her discovery also reveals something surprising about her brothers that she had never realized before.
