Tripti Kapoor and Sam Cohen both hate Camp Dilloway in upstate New York. On their final night, the eleven-year-olds follow a shooting star to a creek where they discover two silvery rocks glowing in the darkness. Tripti, a word-loving girl from Massachusetts, takes one rock home. Sam, a quiet geology enthusiast from California, takes the other.
