Part of Dragon Kin, book 9
First published 2017
Aidan the Divine knows he's magnificent. The Dragon Queen herself bestowed his name, and he possesses royal blood, devastating charm, and a secret hoard of gold that would make other dragons weep with envy. Yet Branwen the Awful, a commoner no less, treats him like dirt under her claws. She ignores his attempts at conversation or flat-out tells him to be quiet. Aidan can't understand why she won't acknowledge his obvious perfection, especially when he catches her stealing glances at his spiked tail. Branwen admits she ignores Aidan precisely because it irritates him. She has bigger concerns than deciphering why he stares at her constantly or sits close enough to touch. War threatens to consume everything they hold dear, and their nations need saving. Romance is a luxury they can't afford, no matter how attractive Aidan might be. The two dragons must fight their enemies as allies, standing together without the distraction of whatever simmers between them. Victory might give them a future to explore what lies beneath their constant bickering.
