Bringer of Dust

by Steven Price

First published 2024

Charlie stares at a corpse covered in corrupted drughr dust near the ruins of Cairndale. Marlowe has disappeared. The orsine that once protected them lies destroyed. A new drughr stalks their world, horned and fierce, moving freely between realms. The creature brings others with it. Charlie and the remaining Talents must find a second orsine, one that may not exist, to have any chance of rescuing their friend. The Abbess, a dark figure with her own plans for the dust, pursues them. Deep in the world of the dead, something ancient awakens. The Talents journey from London's criminal underworld to a bright Sicilian villa to the hidden catacombs beneath Paris. They face bone witches and mud glyphics. They encounter a house of twilight that exists between worlds. The corrupted dust holds secrets that could either revive or destroy the terrible evil stirring in the realm of the dead. Charlie and the others must work as one or watch both worlds fall.
