Part of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, book 6
First published 2011
Greg Heffley finds himself accused of damaging school property. He claims innocence, though the truth might be more complicated than that. School officials suspect him as the culprit behind the vandalism. Just as the investigation heats up, a massive snowstorm blankets the town and traps the Heffley family inside their house. Greg realizes he must eventually answer for what happened at school once the storm passes and the snow clears. But as the hours drag on, he starts wondering if any consequences from school could possibly be more unbearable than spending the entire holiday break cooped up indoors with his parents and brothers. The walls close in as family tensions rise and Greg counts down the days until he can escape both his house and his looming punishment.
