Alex enters his Grandmother's kitchen ready to bake Christmas cookies. As they measure flour and roll dough, Grandmother shows him how baking connects to the Christmas story. They pick cookie cutters shaped like stars and angels while singing carols about the manger. Alex learns that talking to Jesus can happen anywhere, anytime, just like using a phone. His Grandmother teaches him that prayer works for anyone, whether they're one year old or one hundred. The kitchen fills with the smell of fresh cookies as Alex realizes he can pray while mixing ingredients or cutting shapes. When the last batch comes out of the oven, Alex wants his friends to experience the same joy. His Grandmother shares her secret recipe so Alex can teach others how baking and faith blend together. The story ends with Alex understanding that prayer lives in everyday moments like measuring sugar and waiting for cookies to bake.
