Dawn Schafer is back in Stoneybrook for summer vacation with her brother Jeff. The Baby-sitters Club faces a major challenge when they discover they need to earn substantial money in just one month to fund their upcoming school trip to Hawaii. The club takes on more babysitting jobs than they can handle alone. Jeff and the Pike triplets decide they want to help by becoming official Baby-sitters Club members. Kristy agrees to let the boys join as trainees. The new male members enjoy the fun parts of club meetings and playing with children, but they refuse to handle the less pleasant duties. They won't change diapers, skip Little League games, or pay attention during official meetings. Dawn and the other girls struggle with their unreliable helpers who only want to do the easy work. The club must find a way to manage their expanded roster while still meeting their financial goal for the Hawaii trip.
