Dawn and the Impossible Three

by Gale Galligan

First published 2017

Dawn Schafer has joined The Baby-sitters Club, but life in Stoneybrook feels nothing like her old home in California. When she takes on her first major assignment babysitting the Barrett children, everything goes wrong. The Barrett house stays messy no matter what Dawn does. The three kids ignore every rule she sets. Their mother breaks promise after promise, leaving Dawn to handle chaos she never signed up for. Dawn wants to prove herself to the other club members, but Kristy seems impossible to please. Every babysitting session becomes a test of Dawn's patience and skills. She starts to wonder if moving to Connecticut was a mistake. The other girls in the club seem so confident and capable. Dawn questions whether she belongs with them at all. Can she find her place in this new town and this tight group of friends?
