John Littlewolf returns to his Oklahoma reservation after years away, hoping to find peace in familiar surroundings. Instead, he discovers that construction of a new casino has disturbed something that should have remained buried. Strange accidents plague the work site. Workers report seeing figures that vanish when approached. Animals behave erratically, fleeing areas they once frequented. The tribal council dismisses these incidents as coincidence, but John recognizes the signs his grandfather taught him. Ancient spirits have awakened, angry at the desecration of sacred ground. As the supernatural attacks escalate, John must choose between the modern world he has embraced and the traditional ways he left behind. He seeks guidance from tribal elders who still remember the old stories and ceremonies. The spirits grow stronger each day, threatening not just the casino project but the entire community. John realizes he cannot fight this battle alone or with conventional weapons. He must reclaim his heritage and master forgotten rituals before the vengeful spirits destroy everything he holds dear.
